CCS Inc. has added a new lighting series for line scan cameras, the LN2 Series. Designed for such applications as inspections, the new line of lighting currently has three model types, including two convergent models designed for detecting defects in objects with low reflectivity and one bi-directional angled model. The LN2 series lights can achieve maximum illuminance of 5 million lx², which allows for sufficient light for inspection applications with line scan cameras, even with high resolution cameras and short exposure times.

All of the lighting types are LED white light with 6,500 K correlated color temperature. They have 75 to 3,000 mm emitting surface sizes (in 75 mm increments) and they are all air-cooled.

The two convergent model options are available with different focal points depending on the light working distance. The bi-directional angled option illuminates in an oblique direction. It is designed especially for inspecting defects such as scratches and wrinkles that are parallel to the line of direction on materials such as film sheets.
