Peter Carellas
Peter Carellas is the current President and CEO of Xcitex Inc., a company he co-founded in 1998 to focus on the emerging potential of high-speed digital imaging. Xcitex is now a world leader in video-based instrumentation and motion analysis. Recently, Mr. Carellas led an investor group buyout of the Olympus brand of high-speed video cameras and is now leading iX Cameras as well. This unique combination of software, instrumentation and hardware management experience enables Mr. Carellas to present on the subject of the broad topic of high-speed video from a unique vantage point. Mr. Carellas regularly lectures on this subject. In 2006, he was honored with an Emmy Award from the American Academy of Arts and Television for outstanding technical achievement in sports broadcasting. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Rochester and has several imaging patents and publications.
