It may be something of a trite truth of our industry, but everything begins and ends with the pixel. It’s the building block of imaging, the basic element that must be reckoned with to develop a clear image.

Specifically, she and her family, along with millions of others worldwide, were having to put up with blurry and pixelated image feeds while watching the World Cup. As she points out, it’s not just an annoying inconvenience; it’s a real-time illustration of pixel degradation that machine vision engineers know all too well.
