The top level of OBVIUS is implemented in Common Lisp, providing an interpreted OOPs environment. The low-level floating-point operations are implemented in C. A GUI, based on menus and dialog boxes, is provided with the Lisp interpreter. The system provides a library of low-level image-processing routines including arithmetic operations, image statistics, geometric and matrix operations. OBVIUS runs on Sun and SGI workstations in Lucid v4.1 Common Lisp.
