Vision biometrics for identification was delineated by James A. Kottas, chief scientist of Miros Inc. He noted that multiple biometrics or fingerprint, faceprint, voice, iris, and retina-identification are soon going to offer increased security at reasonable cost, are necessary to reduce fraud and identify theft, and are acquiring increased public acceptance.
