Via its BrainTech Classifier and Odysee vision-based development system, BrainTech Inc. (Vancouver, BC, Canada) is going to build, install, and automate a print-quality inspection system for improving and standardizing the ink-jet-printer assembly process for Epson Portland Inc. (Portland, OR), the sole manufacturing facility of ink-jet and dot-matrix printers for Seiko Epson Corp. (Tokyo, Japan) in the United States. . . . Sky Computers Inc. (Chelmsford, MA) has been selected by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, two US military agencies, and Lockheed Martin (Goodyear, AZ) to provide its high-performance, imaging- and signal-processing, 320-Mbyte, 64-bit packet-switched SKYchannel system for a VHF/UHF synthetic aperture radar system, as part of the Foliage Penetrating Radar Program.
