L-3 Communications to take equity position in Millivision

NOVEMBER 11--L-3 Communications (New York, NY; www.L-3Com.com) has taken an equity stake in Millivision, a privately held technology firm specializing in millimeter-wavelength imaging.

NOVEMBER 11--L-3 Communications (New York, NY; www.L-3Com.com) has taken an equity stake in Millivision, a privately held technology firm specializing in millimeter-wavelength imaging. Under terms of the agreement, L-3 Communications will invest in Millivision for a 20% equity position in the company. The transaction will not have a material impact on L-3 Communications' results of operations.

Headquartered in Amherst, MA, Millivision is a leader in millimeterwave-imaging technology and the development of millimeterwave cameras. Millivision has developed its science and technology under the guidance of a team of scientists headed by the international millimeterwave expert Richard Huguenin. The company owns 10 patents and has a significant number of patents pending.

Headquartered in New York City, L-3 Communications is a merchant supplier of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance products, secure communications systems and products, avionics and ocean products, training products, microwave components and telemetry, instrumentation, and space and wireless products. Its customers include the US Department of Defense, selected US government intelligence agencies, aerospace prime contractors, and commercial telecommunications and wireless customers.
