PennWell Corp. names Michael Wolf publisher of Lightwave Europe

MAY 17--PennWell Corporation has named Michael Wolf publisher of Lightwave Europe magazine--the first European-based magazine to cover fibreoptics technology exclusively for the European telecommunications industry.

MAY 17--PennWell Corporation has named Michael Wolf publisher of Lightwave Europe magazine. He was most recently the international sales director-technology for McGraw-Hill's BusinessWeek magazine. In announcing the appointment, PennWell senior vice president David Janoff said, "We are pleased to have Michael join our UK-based staff on Lightwave Europe. Michael's expertise in international sales will continue to drive Lightwave Europe forward."

Wolf has previously held sales-director positions for Telecommunications, Microwave Journal, Journal of Electronic Defense, and Communications magazines. He speaks German and earned his B.A. in art history and German from Leicester University.
