Microvision awarded new patents
FEBRUARY 19--Microvision Inc. (Bothell, WA; www.mvis.com) has been awarded new patents for its retinal scanning, microdisplay, and image-capture technologies, greatly increasing its extensive patents in the area of retinal-scanning displays. Microvision now holds 55 patents in its patent portfolio, with more than 90 additional US patents currently pending. The company continues to aggressively patent its proprietary MEMS-based retinal-scanning technology and other light-scanning technologies that are used for a broad range of display and image-capture applications.
The company's technology has applications in a broad range of military, medical, industrial, professional, and consumer-information products.
