Allied Vision has expanded its Ahrensburg-based research and development subsidiary, which is where the company’s portfolio of GigE Vision and USB3 Vision cameras are developed, and where future camera models are created.

With more than 80 employees, the location is the second largest Allied Vision facility. The expansion comes as a result of an increased number of employees, particularly in R&D and product management.

"The office expansion gives us the necessary flexibility to continue to grow without any space limitation," says Frank Grube, President and CEO of Allied Vision Technologies.

In addition to the industrial cameras developed at the facility, Allied Vision’s Software Development Kit (SDK), Vimba, is designed at this location. Vimba allows for easy integration of Allied Vision cameras into new and existing vision systems.
