Meeting the IEC 60601-1 Medical Design Standards (3 edition) requirements formedical and surgical imaging applications is the new IK-HD5UM HD CMOS camera, which features Toshiba Imaging’s 3-chip prism block technology. The 3-CMOS HD camera features a 1920 x 1080 pixel format that can achieve a frame rate of 59.94 fps in full resolution via USB 3.0 interface and 10 fps in USB 2.0. Additionally, the camera has a C-mount lens mount, remote control via RS232, switchable formats between 1080p and 1080i, up to 1,000 TV lines resolution, 5 user-configurable scene files, and a binning mode for a 4x increase in sensitivity In addition to medical imaging and surgery applications, the camera is suitable for use in surgical room monitoring and surveillance, and other non-patient contact and non-diagnostic imaging applications.
