Janos Technology appoints new president

SEPTEMBER 18--Janos Technology (Townshend, VT; www.janostech.com/) has appointed Brett D. Rosner president. Rosner brings with him more than 20 years of experience in military and commercial electro-optics design, business development, marketing, management, and leadership at companies such as Santa Barbara Focalplane, Hughes/GM, and Sonatech.

"The appointment of Rosner begins a new and exciting era in the continued evolution of Janos Technology," says Phil Haag, president of The Monroe Group, Janos' holding company. Bruce Gardner, former president of Janos, will remain with the company and assume the new role of vice president of technology. Gardner will now have responsibility for evaluating and seeking out new technologies in coating, materials, and manufacturing processes. He will also provide analytical support and due diligence of new investment opportunities.
