ULIS to supply microbolometers to French military

AUGUST 8, 2008--ULIS, a manufacturer of uncooled thermal sensors (Veurey-Voroize, France), has signed a five-year contract with Sagem Défense Sécurité (Paris, France) to supply IR detectors for major weapon sights, handheld equipment, and cameras for military programs such as the French army's Future Infantry Soldier System (FELIN).

AUGUST 8, 2008--ULIS, a manufacturer of uncooled thermal sensors (Veurey-Voroize, France;www.ulis-ir.com), has signed a five-year contract with Sagem Défense Sécurité (Paris, France; www.sagem-ds.com) to supply IR detectors for major weapon sights, handheld equipment, and cameras for military programs such as the French army's Future Infantry Soldier System (FELIN).

Under the agreement, ULIS will deliver its uncooled 384 × 288–25-µm microbolometers, with the first delivery due at the end of the year. The contract also provides for an extension to supply higher-performance uncooled infrared products, such as the 640 × 480–25-µm and the 1024 × 768–17-µm microbolometers, for several military programs and new markets. Financial terms were not disclosed.
