At the China International Optoelectronic Expo, which takes place from September 2-5 in Shenzhen, Radiant Zemax will showcase its latest imaging solutions, including the ProMetric Y photometer and the Near-Field Measurement System (PM-NFMS) for developers of large light sources. ProMetric Y imaging photometers are available in 16 MPixel and 29 MPixel models, both of which feature cooled interline CCD sensors with electronic shutter and 12-bit dynamic range. The cameras are available with 35 mm, 50 mm, and 100 mm macro lenses, as well as USB 2.0, USB 3.0, and Ethernet interfaces. In addition, the cameras can be paired with Radiant Zemax’s TrueTest analysis software to provide a factory test solution for measuring brightness, gauging uniformity, and detecting defects and surface flaws in flat panel displays, illuminated keyboards, instrument panels, and other products.
The PM-NFMS system measures brightness, color, and spectrum (optional), as a function of viewing angle for large light sources. It consists of a ProMetric imaging colorimeter, a two-axis goniometer for precisely adjusting the display’s angular position relative to the imaging colorimeter, and PM-NFMS software that controls the colorimeter and goniometer during the measurement sequence.
