Imperx announces the release of its new NTSC/PAL/RS170 frame grabber, the VCE Express. This plug-n-play ExpressCard/54 module supports real time, full frame rate video acquisition of NTSC, PAL and RS170 formats from composite or S-Video analog interfaces.

It is ideally suited for the most demanding portable vision systems. Applications include military, aerospace, medical, machine vision and traffic management, to name a few.

The VCE Express is available in either regular or flat (embedded cable) ExpressCard formats and comes complete with 32/64 bit Windows 7/XP/Vista, DirectX, Labview and Matlab drivers, a full-featured application program and a comprehensive SDK.

The card is fully backwards compatible with existing VCE-PRO software. VCE-PRO SDK based application programs will run without requiring any modification or recompilation.

d. Saves 16 bit YCrCb 4:2:2, 4:4:4 or 24 bit RGB data

g. Intelligent scatter/gather DMA for fast, efficient use of ExpressCard bandwidth and system memory

i. Many advanced features including histograms, RGB gain/offset with auto-white balance, hex pixel dump, lookup tables, Gamma correction, etc.
j. Plug-n-play operation with hot insertion/removal
k. Full software suite including drivers, application program and SDK
