Peak Technologies Acquires Automation Intelligence

Peak Technologies has acquired Automation Intelligence, LLC (Flint, MI, USA), a systems integrator focused on robotics and machine vision.

Peak Technologies, an industrial automation company (Littleton, MA, USA), is owned by Sole Source Capital LLC (Dallas, TX, USA), a private equity firm. The acquisition is the eighteenth acquisition Peak Technologies has made since it was purchased by Sole Source in 2021.

Founded in 2016, Automation Intelligence, a FANUC authorized systems integrator, focuses on such robotic applications as automated bin picking, 3D vision-guided robotics and inspection, automated assembly and material handling, palletizing and depalletizing, and assembly line robotic arm configuration.

In explaining the acquisition, Tony Rivers, CEO of Peak Technologies, says, “Automation Intelligence brings deep expertise in robotics and machine vision that enhances our current smart technologies offerings—strengthening our capabilities in AI-driven analytics through Peak Analytics, RFID, and advanced 2D and 3D vision systems. This positions us to deliver even more sophisticated solutions that drive operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enable faster response to customer needs.”

Peak Technologies says the current management team at Automation Intelligence will remain in their roles after the acquisition.
