Visualizing the atmosphere

The home of the Visualization Project at the Space Science and Engineering Center of the University of Wisconsin-Madison focuses on advanced visualization techniques. The site allows you to download two visualization packages--Vis5D and VisAD--free of charge. While Vis5D can be used to visualize the output of numeric simulations, VisAD contains a variety of algorithms that allow scientific data to be displayed in a variety of ways. Links to related papers and videos are also supplied.
