ID technology integrates with national security information database to provide high-level security

NOVEMBER 26--Imaging Automation (Bedford, NH; www.imagingauto.com) has signed a $5 million contract with the Dominican Republic to purchase and deploy its BorderGuard technology and create a National Center for Classified Information. The company's document-authentication and identity-verification technology will increase security at 120 points of entry within the Dominican Republic at airports, borders, and seaports by helping to prevent illegal, unwanted, or suspicious individuals from gaining access to an airplane or the country. The National Center for Classified Information will serve as a national data repository of security information from multiple government agencies.

The contract vastly expands the Dominican Republic's use of Imaging Automation's technology, which, for more than one year, has successfully secured the country's main airport--Las Americas International Airport. The BorderGuard installment and the creation of the National Center for Classified Information will begin immediately.
