JUNE 22, 2009-- AMS Technologies (Martinsried/Munich, Germany; www.ams.de), pan-European distributor of high-tech components and systems, and SensL (Cork, Ireland; www.sensl.com), a supplier of low-light sensing devices, have entered into an exclusive distribution agreement. The agreement entitles AMS Technologies to exclusively market and sell SensL's products in Germany and Eastern Europe.
The product offering includes silicon low-light detector products, silicon photomultiplier array technology, and data acquisition systems, all of which are designed to suit the current and emerging market for analog and digital applications.
SensL small-form-factor detectors feature high gain amplification on-chip to simplify integration with external electronics. They operate at voltages of 30-50 V, compared to avalanche photodiode and photomultiplier tube detectors, which typically use hundreds or thousands of volts. The company says the devices are immune to damage by large photon flux and are insensitive to magnetic fields.
