JUNE 8--Cognex Corporation (Natick, MA; www.cognex.com) has surpassed $250,000,000 in cumulative bookings for its In-Sight vision sensor. In-Sight combines ease-of-use and a rugged and compact design with the highest level of performance. "Six years after shipping our first In-Sight vision sensor, we continue to see significant yearly growth in bookings and market penetration," said Robert J. Shillman, chairman and CEO of Cognex. "In fact, In-Sight has experienced an average revenue growth rate of 45% per year since its introduction in 2000, and its success has been a key factor in the growth of Cognex's factory-automation business."

Shillman continued, "Manufacturers around the world are increasingly relying on machine-vision sensors. We expect that the benefits that In-Sight provides will help drive demand for even greater reliance on Cognex machine-vision products in the future."
