Sky Computers Inc.has released the Sky/VSIPL, a commercial version of the Vector Image and Signal Processing (VSIPL) standard, as defined by the VSIPL Forum (www.vsipl.org). This standard is sponsored by the US Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency to provide application portability between compute platforms by providing a consistent application programming interface and a common set of mathematical functions on all supporting platforms for common digital-signal-processing multicomputer radar, sonar, and signal intelligence applications.
