Sharc takes a bite out of CompactPCI Snaggletooth CompactPCI is the unusual name of a dual CompactPCI board. Providing 240-MFLOP performance, the 3U board contains a pair of 40-MHz ADSP-2106x SHARC processors, each of which includes 2 or 4 Mbits of on-chip dual-ported SRAM. The board also consists of up to 512 k x 48 bits of zero-wait-state shared SRAM, four external link ports, and a BITSI mezzanine site for off-the-shelf I/O interfaces. Priced at $5595, the board is supported by Analog Devices C compiler, assembler, linker, simulator, and source code debugger.
