Suited for web and line-scanning applications, the AO8964 24-in. continuous lightline contains two 40-in. fiber bundles, each with an active 0.5-in.-input diameter and placed inside metal tubing, that plug into two light sources. The fiber line is positioned within the body to a tolerance of ± 0.004 in. Assembled into a black anodized aluminum housing the lightline is calibrated to ensure a uniformity of 䔳 gray scales at a mean of 200 by a Gamma setting of 1.0. Affixing a cylindrical lens to the lightline can increase intensity to 900% for projection onto inspection surfaces.
