APRIL 4--BFi OPTiLAS (Evry, France; www.bfioptilas.avnet.com), a pan-european distributor of specialist products in the imaging and detection market, is launching the Qimaging MicroPublisher digital imaging system. The Micropublisher delivers high-resolution colour images for microscopy documentation and publication. The 3.3-Mpixel CCD sensor and 30-bit colour digitalisation produce high-quality colour images of brightfield, darkfield, and fluorescence microscopy. Other applications include pathology, histology, cytology, and haematology.

The Micropublisher has a FireWire interface that allows for ease of use and installation and full computer control of the camera.
