APRIL 25--Planar Systems Inc. (Portland, OR; www.planar.com) is launching a new flat-panel monitor featuring a viewing area that measures 23.1 inches diagonally. Ideal for financial professionals, engineers, architects, desktop publishers, video editors, and other creative professionals, the slim-profile, big-screen flat-panel monitor displays two standard pages of text side-by-side, allowing users to work with much more information at once.

The new product has 1600 x 1200 (UXGA) resolution, high image clarity, ultrawide 160° viewing angle, both analog and digital (DVI) inputs, a USB hub, and intuitive set-up and on-screen controls. List price is $3600.

Planar's 23.1-in. display comes bundled with the Benwin GX-6A multimedia speaker system, featuring two flat-panel satellite speakers and a powered subwoofer.
