MAY 14--National Instruments (NI; Austin, TX) has announced Stage Advisor--a FREE Web-based interactive tool that helps engineers quickly select NI motion controllers and compatible stages from third-party suppliers. This interactive tool evaluates individual application requirements and generates a list of NI and third-party products that fit those requirements--complete with detailed data sheets for instant comparison.

Available 24 hours a day at ni.com, the advisors help engineers search and compare products by manufacturer, specific model name, or product specifications. Stage Advisor then suggests a variety of NI motion hardware and compatible stages from NI motion partners that best meet the engineer's requirements. The engineers can immediately order NI products online and contact the appropriate NI Motion Partners Program member.

The NI Motion Partners Program consists of leading stage suppliers and was designed to ease the systems-configuration process by identifying superior stages that seamlessly integrate with NI motion controllers. Following comprehensive testing to ensure compatibility with NI motion controllers, the companies and NI verify product connectivity and performance. Current members of the Partner program include ALIO Industries, Anorad, Bayside Motion Group, Danaher Precision Systems, JMAR Precision Systems, MICOS, National Aperture, Polytec PI, Primatics, and Suruga Seiki.
