Fischer Imaging appoints chief technology officer

MARCH 11--Fischer Imaging Corp. (Denver, CO; www.fischerimaging.com) has appointed Roman Janer as chief technology officer for the company.

MARCH 11--Fischer Imaging Corp. (Denver, CO; www.fischerimaging.com), a technological company in the fields of digital mammography and medical imaging systems, has appointed Roman Janer as chief technology officer for the company. Janer served as vice president of technology for Hologic Inc. from May 2000 until his move to Fischer and has held key positions at companies such as Trex Medical Corporation and Picker International, where he was head of worldwide x-ray research and development for 16 years. He has more than 25 years of experience in the development of imaging technologies and is a leading authority in the field of radiography.

Janer received his bachelor of applied science degree in electrical engineering at the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
