Summary
With the introduction of inexpensive SWIR cameras, multispectral imaging has emerged as a powerful tool for some challenging machine vision tasks. In this webinar, Dr. Lau will discuss the principles of multispectral and hyperspectral imaging and how these sensors are being deployed in common machine vision tasks, particularly food inspection.

Dr. Lau’s research interests include 3-D imaging sensors, 3-D fingerprint scanning and identification, and multispectral color acquisition and display. He has research funding from the Department of Defense, National Science Foundation, and the National Institutes of Health.
