NEW PRODUCT PRESS RELEASE

Power Technology Inc. (PTI; Little Rock, AR, USA) introduces the MK Series laser module designed specifically for machine vision applications. These applications include 3D profiling and imaging, dimensional scanning, high speed road and rail inspection, web inspection, fluorescence, and illumination. The new MK module with its PTI electronics and beam quality can serve as a drop-in replacement for most existing machine vision lasers.

“Our business model is well suited to this market which requires high-power structured light lasers uniquely engineered to ensure that even the most demanding high-speed,extreme industrial applications can be handled”, stated Walter Burgess, VP of sales and engineering. “We are excited about our new offering, the MK Series laser module which is capable of output powers from 150mW to 8W with a wavelength range between 635nm and 1064nm.”

William Burgess, VP of operations, remarked “The MK Series features an extremely rugged industrial design as well as precision cooling methods to keep the laser diode at a constant temperature. The MK can be configured for optimal performance at close or long range due to a wide array of customizable optics”. Burgess went on to say, “The MK laser can operate in CW mode, TTL or analog modulation and is fiber coupled and includes power and temperature adjustments.”
