From November 15-16 at the Doubletree by Hilton San Jose, theCollaborative Robots and Advanced Vision Conference will explore a range of current advancements in collaborative robots and advanced vision, focusing on technology, applications, safety implications, and human impacts.
Held by the AIA and RIA, the event aims to serve OEMs, integrators, startups, venture capitalists, educations, end users, and potential users in industries including automotive, agriculture, life sciences, medicine, and consumer. Collaborative robots today are driving one of the most transformative periods in the robotics industry. Advancements with sensors, software and end-of-arm tooling are expanding collaborative robot capabilities and applications, according to the AIA.
The event will feature a diverse array of expert speakers from around the globe, including four keynote speeches:
- Advanced Collaborative Robots and the Impact on Systems Integration - Rodney Brooks, Chairman and CTI, Rethink Robotics, Inc.
- Dedicated Vision Processing Units as Enablers for Deep Neural Network Applications at the Edge – Remi El-Ouazzane, Vice President of Intel new Technologies Group and General Manager of Movidius
- The New Wave in Robot Grasping – Ken Goldberg, William S. Floyd Jr. Distinguished Chair in Engineering, UC Berkeley
- Closing Panel Discussion: The Future of Automation – Moderated by Jeff Burnstein, A3 President. Panelists will include Steve Cousins, Savioke; Vitali Goncharuk, Augmented Pixels; Hassan Aluraibi, Flex.
Throughout the two days, numerous other industry veterans will offer presentations on topics that include high-speed imaging, the Industrial Internet of Things and Industry 4.0, embedded vision, collaborative robot safety, deep learning, artificial intelligence, thermal imaging, pixel size, 3D imaging, the future of vision, and more.
In addition to the 30-plus breakout sessions, 52 companies have already signed on to exhibit. Additionally, the AIA and RIA will provide nine networking breaks
