A sculptor in Kansas contracted Bolton Works to scan 4 different foam sculptures that were about 5 feet wide by 12 feet high. The sculptures resembled lava pouring off a wall and pooled into puddles on the ground. Bolton Works was able to preserve the sculptures using 3D scanning technology in about a day and a half and with a large enough 3D printer, recreation of the art would also be possible.
