Orbbec Launches New 3D Stereo Vision Camera Computer System

New system combines stereo vision and AI/edge computing capabilities.

Orbbec has launched the Persee N1, an all-in-one 3D stereo vision system and edge/AI computer system based on the NVIDIA Jetson platform. Designed to be set up using Orbbec’s SDK and Ubuntu-based software, the Persee N1 utilizes a Linux operating system. It is equipped with a Gemini 2 camera with a range of .15 – 10 m. It has a depth resolution frame rate of up to 1280 by 800 at 30 fps, RGB resolution frame rate of 1929 x 1080 at 30 fps, depth FOV of H91° x V66° and RGB FOV of 16.9 H86° x V55° and 4.3 H63° x V50°.  It is equipped with the NVIDIA Jetson Nano Quad Core ARM A57 at 143GhHz and the Orbbec ASIC for depth processing. It has 4GB of RAM and can expand up to 16 GB memory. It has USB, PoE and HDMI capability. The Persee N1 weighs 986 g, has a 200 x 100 x 90 mm footprint, and an operating range of 0°C - 40°C. The system is especially designed for indoor and semi outdoor machine vision applications such as robotics.
