Focus module powers wearable vision enhancement device

New Scales Technologies’ announced that its M3-F focus module is now a key component of the eSight eyewear, which is a wearable, electronic assistive device that was launched in 2012.

New Scales Technologies’ announced that its M3-F focus module is now a key component of the eSight eyewear, which is a wearable, electronic assistive device that was launched in 2012. The M3-F module enables precision focus of the camera lens and provides micron-precision lens movement with low tilt. It runs on 3.3V input and holds focus with the power off. In addition, the module is compatible with M8 and M12 lenses and standard image sensor formats. Custom algorithms are programmed into the eSight eyewear according to specific eye condition which provides assistive eyesight technology for low vision.
