The 2020 Vision Start-up competition held by Messe Stuttgart has a winner, HD Vision Systems GmbH, for their presentation "Light field and Deep Learning-based Machine Vision." The company receives free participation in VISION Start-up World at VISION 2021, taking place October 5 to 7, 2021, in Stuttgart, Germany, and media reporting by various channels in the German Engineering Federation.
Six candidates out of an original 35 entries presented digital pitch sessions for the competition on November 11, 2020. HD Vision Systems GmbH, that began in 2016 as a university project and in 2018 as a start-up company, won the 2020 Vision Start-up competition with a presentation on solving problems in deployment of AI for image processing applications.
"The VISION start-up pitch has already proved worthwhile for our company: we received the first customer inquiry less than five minutes after the end of the competition!" says Benedikt Karolus, COO/CFO of HD Vision Systems GmbH. "We are truly delighted and are already looking forward to the next VISION in 2021."
