Together with the VDMA Machine Vision group and the VDMA Machine Vision start-up network, Messe Stuttgart will hold a virtual competition for new companies in the machine vision and imaging space.
Florian Niethammer, Project Manager for VISION, comments:
"Young companies bring additional dynamism to the sector precisely with their innovations: whether software in the field of artificial intelligence and Deep Learning, the latest camera technology or exciting vision systems," he says. "For this reason, all company founders in the sector are being called upon to apply for this year's VISION Start-up Pitch Session on 11 November."
Eligible companies include legally-independent companies with an “innovative business model or visionary product development, which were founded during the past 6 years, have a maximum of 20 employees and a maximum annual turnover of 5 million Euro.” Presentations will be held in English and interested companies can apply online until October 28, 2020.
A jury of experts will select the companies that will participate in the pitch session, and at the end of the pitch, the spectators at the pitch session will decide the "VISION Start-up 2020". The winner can take part, free of charge, in the VISION Start-Up World 2021 at the trade fair and will be honored in various channels by the VDMA.
"Anyone who has the confidence to take the machine vision industry to the next level with his business idea and potential should throw his hat in the ring," says Anne Wendel, Head of the specialist department of the VDMA Machine Vision sector group.
"We offer a great opportunity for everyone to amaze the decision-makers in the industry and their customers with revolutionary thoughts and suggestions for innovative solutions," adds Niethammer.
