Skeletonization algorithms

Robert Ogniewicz, a postdoctoral fellow at Harvard University (Cambridge, MA), has placed his experimental software in the public domain, and you can download it from this site. Supporting GIF, TIF, and other image formats, the software computes skeletons of images and runs under X-windows. Ogniewicz has also provided on-line technical papers to explain the basis of the software routines.
