MAY 13--A new software driver has been developed by MuTech Corporation (Billerica, MA; www.mutech.com) to run Image Pro Plus software used mainly for biomedical image analysis. The new capture driver provides a seamless interface between the Image/VGA-460 frame grabber board and the Image Pro Plus software held on a PC within a machine-vision system. This allows a user to capture and display images in the software package. Features of the driver include a full-size preview window, interlaced/progressive scan, image size and offset adjustments, monochrome or RGB color, single capture or sequences, channel selection, and top/bottom/clamp adjustments.

Image-Pro Plus is a powerful analysis package that is used to extract and mine data from images. It is used in applications including failure analysis, analyzing particle distribution of ceramic material, performing live/dead cell assays, analyzing tissue sections, or other applications where there is a need to acquire and analyze images.
