Pamet public-safety software integrates imaging security products
SEPTEMBER 26--Pamet Systems Inc (Acton, MA) Police RMS records, organizes, and manages a myriad of information about people, arrests, accidents, incidents, warrants, restraints, and addresses. Using a sophisticated relational database, it integrates digital images, fingerprints, sounds, and documents. It creates a framework for them and links them all together to enable law-enforcement professionals to quickly search out pertinent information, using demographic, geographic, and psychographic analysis tools.
PoliceServer works in concert with wireless technology to give patrolling officers immediate access to this critical information in their police cruisers. For example, officers can retrieve the photographs and police histories of suspects on their wireless mobile computers while at the crime scene, to ensure that they have the correct person. Moreover, information in PoliceServer's database provides the material for intelligence analysis and crime analysis software, helping detectives to see patterns and relationships that are not readily apparent. Presenting the results using leading mapping programs is much more meaningful to investigating teams.
And PoliceServer is the vehicle for electronically submitting locally developed information about crimes to the appropriate state and federal agencies, where it is available nationally for analysis. "A modern records-management system is pivotal to today's police work," says David McKay, president of Pamet Systems.
