SEPTEMBER 18, 2008--The UK Industrial Vision Association (UKIVA; Royston, UK; www.ukiva.org) has announced that Rhombus Vision Systems (Brackley, UK; www.rhombusvs.co.uk) and the VTX - Vision Technology Exhibition and Conference (www.devicelink.com/expo/ipot08/) are the latest organizations to become members of the association.

Rhombus VS is a system integration specialist with expertise in high-accuracy process/motion control, software solutions and integration, materials/part handling, robotic integration, image acquisition and processing, instrumentation and measurement, beam profiling, multi-sensor analysis, laser processing, galvanometer scanning and calibration, inspection, and statistical analysis.

VTX is a UK and Irish annual exhibition for the vision industry, organized by OcotoMedia, part of the Canon Communications group. Canon is a global event organizer for the advanced manufacturing industry. VTX is held annually at the NEC in Birmingham, UK, with the mission to provide an educational forum for both expert users and those who have not yet considered vision as a solution. VTX is held in parallel with the Mtec and Machine Building and Automation exhibitions.

UKIVA director Don Braggins says, "It is interesting to see that as well as our more 'traditional' members, we are attracting more organizations who, like the Association, are also involved in promoting the use of vision."
