Teledyne DALSA releases new automation and inspection vision sensor

The BOA Spot XL features integrated lighting and software

The new BOA Spot XL vision sensor from Teledyne DALSA, designed for industrial automation and inspection applications including error proofing, identification, and robot guidance, includes software, processing, lighting, and optics.

The sensor features integrated LED lighting with white, red, or blue options, and vision tool software for positioning, part location, pattern matching, measuring, feature or defect detection/identification, and automatic reading of characters. Ethernet/IP and PROFINET are compatible protocols for communication with third party equipment or factory enterprise systems.

The sensor uses a GigE interface and has 3.5 µm pixel size. The monochrome version can achieve 45 fps, and the color version offers 30 fps. Standard and high resolution models, and M12 or C-mount lens options, are available.
