High-speed camera series updated with new model

Photron introduces the S16 model in the FASTCAM NOVA line.

Capable of 12-bit recording rates up to 16,000 fps at megapixel resolution, and 0.2 µs shutter speeds, the FASTCAM NOVA S16 camera from Photron features CMOS image sensor technology. Up to 1.1 million fps is possible at reduced image resolutions.

Other features of the S16 include a sealed body design for protection against dust and corrosive particulates, GigE interface, memory segmentation between recording and downloading, and compatibility with C-Mount, Nikon G-Type, and Canon EF lenses.

Options include FAST Drive SSD for 1 GB/s image downloads. Photron FASTCAM Viewer software is bundled with the camera. Also included is a Photron Device Control SDK for software integration and camera control via MATLAB or LabView environments.
