Multi-light quad controllers provide sequenced strobing
DCS-400E (quad controller) and DCS-800E (quad x2) controllers are designed for applications that require multi-channel lights and/or multi-light stations, such as computational imaging, photometric stereo, HDR, and extended depth of field, with the condition that all light heads are identical.
Both controllers provide sequenced strobing and have built-in, pre-programmed sequencing that enables cycling through pre-determined recipes. This allows the ability to automatically time lighting sequences and output correlated camera triggers through multiple pre-programmed routines.
The controllers are housed in compact enclosures with DIN rail mounting and, according to the manufacturer, deliver effective thermal dissipation.
Advanced illumination is currently developing updates for the quad controllers that will allow them to drive up to eight different lights simultaneously and control all the company’s lighting products whose power requirements do not exceed the controllers’ output capacity.
