Pixel processor accents power
Built as a half-length daughtercard for use with the company`s Cobra/C6 and viper series products, the high-speed Pixel Processor image-processing board can be programmed as a preprocessor or a coprocessor with the Texas Instruments C6201 DSP. It contains a reprogrammable processing core and two independent frame buffers to buffer reference images, incoming camera images, and intermediate results. The core performs both basic and multistep image-processing functions, including point-to-point, neighborhood, and statistical operations on images. Application-specific packages and a library of image-processing functions are available.
