Basler expands presence in the United States
In an effort to strengthen its presence in the Southwestern United States, Basler has designated Phil Schweiger as regional sales manager for Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Southern California, and Utah.
In an effort to strengthen its presence in the Southwestern United States,Basler has designated Phil Schweiger as regional sales manager for Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, Southern California, and Utah.
Schweiger (pictured) holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware and is an AIA-certified vision professional. He began with Basler in August of 2013 as a technical support engineer, and prior to his promotion, he had been working as part of the inside sales team.
"Phil has done an exceptional job both in technical support and inside sales. He has the sales and technical skills needed to address customer needs, build relationships and successfully manage this territory," said Russ Seery, Director of Sales, Americas of Basler, Inc.
This is the fourth growth-related move of the year that Basler has announced. In April, Basler announced the appointment of Rob Karimi, a 2005 graduate of York University in Toronto with experience working for Dell, Avnet, and Cisco, will assume the role of Regional Sales Manager, responsible forsales activities within Canada. Then in June, Basler announced the hiring of Cor Valk, who has more than 20 years of experience in sales and business development as well as nine years in product management, to the role of Business Development and Sales Manager for Basler in the Belgium, Netherlands, and Luxembourg territory. Most recently, Basler strengthened its position in the Asia Pacific territory with the hiring of William Lau, who has previously held strategic account manager and regional sales manager positions, has more than 20 years’ experience in the semiconductor industry
Basler now employs 500 people at its Ahrensburg, Germany headquarters location, as well as technologies. The company employs 500 people at its headquarters in Ahrensburg, Germany, as well as in international subsidiaries and offices in Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
