Lumenera's USB 3.0 cameras offer compact, simplified system

June 26, 2013
Lumenera’s cameras combine a USB 3.0 interface, a global shutter, and a CMOS sensor from CMOSIS.

Lumenera’s cameras combine a USB 3.0 interface, a global shutter, and a CMOS sensor from CMOSIS. The cameras offer frame rates up to 170 fps, 2 and 4 megapixel color, mono, and near-infrared solutions, and built-in FPGA-based image processing and frame memory. Available in both industrial and scientific models, the cameras offer a simplified system, as USB 3.0 is native to all new computers. In addition, the cameras measure 40 x 40 x 53 mm, so they can be implemented into tight spaces and enclosures. Simplified I/O cabling is provided through a locking Hirose connector supporting external power input along with 1 optically-isolated output, 1 optically-isolated input, and 2 configurable I/O ports.
