FLIR Systems’ new E4, E5, E6, and E8 thermal imaging cameras are handheld thermal imagers developed for pinpointing electrical and mechanical overheating, moisture ingress, missing insulation, air leaks, and other temperature related problems. The new cameras feature the following IR resolution: 80 x 60 (E4), 120 x 90 (E5), 160 x 120 (E6), and 320 x 240 (E8). In addition, the cameras all feature a 320 x 240 resolution for FLIR’s Multi-Spectral Dynamic Imaging Technology (MSX), which embosses key visible details from an on-board digital camera onto the infrared image. The cameras, which have uncooled microbolometer detectors, also feature a frame rate of 9 Hz and a field of view of 45° × 34°.
