OCTOBER 4--Datacard Group (Minnetonka, MN; www.datacard.com) has introduced its USB Digital Camera Package, which combines advanced imaging capabilities with exclusive integrated software to automate and simplify the capture of high-quality, full-color images. "The USB package removes several manual steps that slow productivity and introduce error during image capture," said Sandy Baxa, senior product specialist at Datacard Group. "Users simply click the mouse once to capture a centered, cropped, full-color image in the software's photo image field."

Automated features include built-in flash, automatic focus, and a patent-pending auto-crop capability that eliminates the need to pan, tilt, zoom, or view images on the monitor before they are captured. Users also can select backdrop color, zoom ratio, crop-box size, and cropping aspect ratio from a single, intuitive configuration window.

"The USB digital camera package adds productivity and user-friendliness to almost any Datacard system currently in use," Baxa said. "It is an image-capture solution for government agencies, corporations, schools, membership programs, and other organizations that need high-quality imaging from an easy-to-use system."
