Volpi (Auburn, NY, USA) has signed a cooperation agreement with Envision (Seoul, South Korea), a distributor of image processing components. “The South Korean market is particularly exciting for us because it is very dynamic and many image processing applications require customized lighting solutions, such as for the inspection of display glass for flat screen televisions and computer monitors,” explains Max Kunz, owner and CEO of Volpi.
Envision has a customer base that includes leading Korean manufacturers of consumer electronics and is a leading solution provider in the Korean machine vision market. Volpi expects to provide customized lighting solutions especially for the flat panel display and high-end PCB market. The company develops and manufacturesfiber-optical systems and devices, with locations in Schlieren, Switzerland, and New York.
