Dietmar Ley, CEO of Basler, comments: "We have been monitoring for some time the rapidly growing market for digital surveillance cameras, and we consider it to provide great potential for growth for our company. Ranking second on a worldwide scale as a provider for digital camera solutions for industrial applications, we are very well prepared to also gain ground in the video surveillance market.
"Many users of IP cameras are dissatisfied with the image quality and reliability of currently available products. We want to close this gap by adapting our technology in the field of industrial cameras to the market for IP cameras. Our new line of IP cameras was developed in close cooperation with leading companies of the video-surveillance sector to meet the specific demands of the video surveillance market."
