DECEMBER 4, 2008--The SVMonitor high-speed recording system is able to record and store videos with or without a time stamp and is compatible with Gigabit Ethernet, Camera Link, FireWire, and USB 2.0 interfaces. SVMonitor can display recorded sequences forward and backward, as well as in a user-defined speed (e.g., slow motion). Both start and stop as well as single pictures can be triggered through various external signals (e.g., by software, by hardware signals, by changes within a picture, or by absolute and relative time). A life mode for setup and focusing of the camera as well as a zoom function are also available. Depending on size and speed of the hard disk used, sequences up to several hours can be recorded either compressed or uncompressed. Single images in a sequence can be stored for documentation purposes.

PRESS RELEASE

Press Release August 2008

Affordable Recorder Solution for Monitoring of High Speed Processes

There are many things the human eye cannot capture because they are progressing to fast. Occurring questions like "At which point deforms an object unwanted in the continuous production process?", "How does an object deform before it breaks?" or "What happens shortly before the components jam and the machine halts again?" are difficult to answer.

Whether for optimising a manufacturing process or for motion tracking in sports, often a standard camera cannot provide high resolution pictures of quick events. For such purposes SVS-VISTEK has designed the new high speed recording system SVMonitor. With our high
speed digital image recorder we offer a system that is able to record and store videos with or without a time stamp. SVMonitor is compatible to cameras with all popular interface technologies like GigE, CameraLink, Firewire, and USB 2.0.

Like for standard video-recorder, SVMonitor has also the possibility to display recorded sequences forward and reverse, and in a user defined speed (e.g. in slow motion). Both, the start and stop of a sequence recording as well as single pictures can be triggered through a large variety of external signals (by software, by hardware signals, by changes within a picture or by absolute and relative time), just according to the user's needs.

A life mode for setup and focussing of the camera as well as a zoom function are also available. Depending on size and speed of the hard disk used, sequences up to a length of several hours can be recorded either compressed or uncompressed. Single pictures of a sequence can be stored for documentation purposes - if necessary also with a time stamp.

During the development particular attention was paid to the user friendly operability. This is why the setup, the configuration of all parameter and the application is also manageable for untrained users within a short time. SVMonitor produces usable results at once. This enables the user to analyse and debug error sources in automated processes quickly and easily.

Just: SVMonitor - Makes visible what you have missed. Upon request SVS-VISTEK offers a complete solution incl. high speed camera, computer, frame grabber board, cables and recorder software at an attractive price.
